Aspens in Wonderland Canvas Print

During playing with edits, I took a snippet from a panorama and turned up the saturation and sharpness, which created a purple highlight. I let my mind go wild with edits to really show the magic of this aspen forest near the San Francisco Peaks just outside of Flagstaff, AZ. This was the product of a great photo, exploring with iPhone/Instagram editing, and some imagination. This is an example of pushing the definition of what constitutes a photograph.

I am a photographer (though in past years, have had critics say I am a picture taker since I'm almost all of my work with an iPhone until I can justify buying an LDSR camera when I am in a place to start stormchasing more often. After the covidpocalypse dies down, my goal is to end my hiatus for live art shows and start shows back up in Eugene, Oregon. Lately, I've been playing around with making a photograph not look like a photograph or edit in a way to show what my mind sees when taking a picture. My photography subject matter is primarily scenery/subject matter. I try to incorporate styles of other art forms into my photography and more recently adding graphic design elements.
