I edited this capture to show the sharp vibrancy of the ground while making the sky more surreal. I brought out the vibrant colours of the flowers, the pines, and the cinder ground. A monsoon thunderstorm was starting to develop towards San Francisco Peaks, in the left background.
I am a photographer (though in past years, have had critics say I am a picture taker since I'm almost all of my work with an iPhone until I can justify buying an LDSR camera when I am in a place to start stormchasing more often. After the covidpocalypse dies down, my goal is to end my hiatus for live art shows and start shows back up in Eugene, Oregon. Lately, I've been playing around with making a photograph not look like a photograph or edit in a way to show what my mind sees when taking a picture. My photography subject matter is primarily scenery/subject matter. I try to incorporate styles of other art forms into my photography and more recently adding graphic design elements.
