I wanted to create a scene where the foliage of the tree against a blue sky looked like a hybrid between a paper overlay and watercolour. This was a tree with gold foliage against a blue sky done in the Noir setting on the iPhone. I sharpened the photo and maximized contrast to get the desired effect.
I am a photographer (though in past years, have had critics say I am a picture taker since I'm almost all of my work with an iPhone until I can justify buying an LDSR camera when I am in a place to start stormchasing more often. After the covidpocalypse dies down, my goal is to end my hiatus for live art shows and start shows back up in Eugene, Oregon. Lately, I've been playing around with making a photograph not look like a photograph or edit in a way to show what my mind sees when taking a picture.
