I captured this changing the shutter speed to sport mode. The details of the snowflakes turned into what looked like drops of ice. It created the abstract/surreal effect I wanted with a snowdrift up against a bush with heavy snow falling.

I am a photographer (though in past years, have had critics say I am a picture taker since I'm almost all of my work with an iPhone until I can justify buying an LDSR camera when I am in a place to start stormchasing more often. After the covidpocalypse dies down, my goal is to end my hiatus for live art shows and start shows back up in Eugene, Oregon. Lately, I've been playing around with making a photograph not look like a photograph or edit in a way to show what my mind sees when taking a picture.
