This was my first time going to the Salmon Creek trail on the north side of Vancouver, Washington. During the Covidpocalypse, I did a lot of hiking and trying to find ways to renew and not have to worry about a lot of people and having a mask on constantly. On this hike, I saw this unusual sky. I am a weather nut and stormchaser, so I haven't see this kind of stark line of contrast of clouds that was not involved with a sharp cold front with no precipitation. This is what I captured with my iPhone 11.

I am a photographer (though in past years, have had critics say I am a picture taker since I'm almost all of my work with an iPhone until I can justify buying an LDSR camera when I am in a place to start stormchasing more often. After the covidpocalypse dies down, my goal is to end my hiatus for live art shows and start shows back up in Eugene, Oregon. Lately, I've been playing around with making a photograph not look like a photograph or edit in a way to show what my mind sees when taking a picture. My photography subject matter is primarily scenery/subject matter. I try to incorporate styles of other art forms into my photography and more recently adding graphic design elements.
